WAH Look #17 - Drippy

Finally, a look from this book that I have tried before!!
I think the one I did for the INSA comp was more successful, but for that one I just used the polish that came in the brush. However for these, I used my nail art pen as that's what the book said!

I also have no patience.

The base colour is Chanel May and the black is a nail art pen.

Simple, yet effective :-)

Hope you like, and I'll see you next time!

Chanel Fall Collection 2012 - Swatches

Those of you who have been reading for a while, will have probably gathered by now that I am a bit of a Chanel junkie!
It's a very expensive habit, but I just can't help it..

Today, I have swatches of the Fall 2012 collection for you :-)

First up is Frenzy. Frenzy is a warm nude creme, with a pink undertone. Three coats -

Next up is Suspicious. Just a properly pink creme. Could probably get away with one coat opacity. I have two on obviously! -

I felt that Suspicious was basically the creme version on Tentation from the Roses Ultimes De Chanel collection. Here is Tentation on my middle and pinkie fingers with Suspicious on the index and ring -

See what I mean?!?!

Third and final polish from this collection is Vertigo, I have on two coats. I don't really know how to describe this colour! It's a grey creme at a glance but then is it a bit brown? It's kinda smokey and it does have some teeny glitter particles in. No really! Keep scrolling -

With flash, you can just about see the glitters in the bottle -

And when ya zoom zoom zoom in on the nail -

Very subtle but very gorgeous!

I must say, I was not too impressed with the collection until I swatched them. In the bottles they're a bit meh, but once you try them it's a different story!

I can't decide if my favourite is Frenzy or Vertigo, but they are completely different so there's no real comparison.

But of course I love them all. Because my names Holly, and I'm a Chanel addict!

Polishes cost £18 each and I bought mine from Debenhams.

I hope you enjoy, see ya soon :-)

WAH Look #16 - Roses

Yet another look that has been around but I've never tried!
Honestly, this book is really making me pull my finger out ;-)

Mani number 16, is Roses -

I also got to play with my new pens which I'm currently loving, even if I'm not very good at them yet!

For the roses I used Chanel May for the pink, Barry M 308 Berry Ice Cream is the purple and Models Own Hedonist from the Hed Kandi collabo for the red.
The green of the leaves is Illamasqa Smash and the white base is Barry M.
Black nail art pen for the details. Obvs.

I don't know if it was because this was my first go at this mani, or the length of my nails or whatever but I found these quite difficult!!
But I think, like everything, more practice and they'll be alright!

Hope you like these, and have a fabulous weekend!

WAH Look #15 - Bows

NEXT!

This mani is super cute and girly. Some pastels with bows :-)

And another excuse to try out my nail art pens...

The colours are both Barry M (again) 279 Bright Pink and 304 Mint Green.
And the bows were done with my cheapy nail art pens from eBay ;-)

I'm starting to get the hang of them so hopefully I'll have some actually decent designs for you soon!

In other news, I got some macro magnifiers on the way from the Amazon and I can't wait to try them out. Especially cos I've just bought some beauty W7 duochromes....
...coming soon!

Hope you like and I'll see you soon,

WAH Look #14 - Zebra

I was so excited about doing this zebra print mani as it gave me chance to use my cheapo nail art pens from ebay!

Not really much explaining to do, the clue's kinda in the title ;-)

I am pretty chuffed with how these turned out as it was my first ever go with a nail art pen!
Another first from doing these WAH main's ♥

If anyone is interested in the bargain pens they're HERE!
I can't comment on all the colours though as I've only had chance to play with the black and white, but so far so good.

Hope you like!
See ya next time,

WAH Look #13 - Shatter

I always forget about my shatter polishes, but once I use them I remember why I love 'em.
I suppose I got a bit bored, and new things come along and they just end up collecting dust in my Spice Racks!

This is another look that I wasn't sure about when I saw it on the book. I thought that everyone had sort of got over shatter, but like the last mani, I loved it once on the nail.

Before the shatter top coat.

Doesn't the shatter coat hide a multitude of sins!!!
For these I used Barry M 295 Turquoise and Illamasqua Rare. The shatter top coat is Barry M also, but soooo many companies do them now.

I really enjoyed wearing these.
And I promise to try use some different colours, I feel like I'm using the same ones over and over!

Hope you like and I'll see ya next time,
