Friday! Hurrah!

Today, I am super excited to be able to share a swatch of one of the brand new Chanel Nail Colours for Summer '14.

You can see the whole collection in my earlier post containing the official Press Release.

The collection Reflets D'Ete de Chanel consists of five new nail colours, three of which are Limited Edition, however Tutti Frutti is permanent which is awesome because in my humble opinion, it's the best one ;-)

In the pictures I am wearing two coats with a top and base coat.

Chanel describe this as a coral and I agree obviously! It's a teeny but on the orange end, which I really like as it makes a change from those almost fluorescent pink corals which tend to be the norm. Not that there's anything wrong with those, they're my favourite for summer!

I also like the super subtle gold shimmer that runs through this polish. It is almost invisible, but it's there! I find that instead of making the polish shimmery, it gives it a great shine to the polish which is always a plus!

You can just about see it, at the top of the nail, in this close up shot using flash....

It's nothing that can't be achieved with a great top coat, but, I don't know, it just makes my nails feel special knowing that it's there. I know, I sound crazy!

The collection is available TODAY! And I will be ordering the rest of the colours immediately so will hopefully have swatches of them for you all very soon :-)

Butter London - Bluey

The time has come for yet another Butter London swatch! I told you I had loads that I'd never shown :-)

Today colour is called Bluey after the old slang for a porno! I love BL's sense of humour, haha!

Bluey is a "dark peacock blue", and I am wearing three coats with a base and top coat.

Unfortunately, I was unable to capture the true colour of this polish, as it does have a slight green tone to it making it a more 'peacock' like shade. 
None the less, I think it's an absolute beauty and my favourite BL colour that I own :-)

I really like the shimmer as it gives the colour so much depth and a beautiful sparkle in the sunshine (not that we have much!)

ArtDeco 423 - Green Glitz

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you've all had a lovey weekend, I got blisters from walking the dog so far! Have to take advantage when the sun comes out here....

Today I have a swatch of a gorgeous sparkly polish today from ArtDeco named Green Glitz. 

This is a clear base jam packed full of glitter particles from tiny multi-coloured to larger square pieces.

In the photo's I am wearing one coat of Green Glitz over Stylenomics by Essie.

I am so impressed with this nail polish! You get so much glitter in each coat. I only used one here and you can see just how sparkly they are :-) I love ot over the dark green of Stylenomics too, I think it really brings out the colour of the green glitter particles.

W7 - 84 Matt Green

Happy Friday everyone! 

Today I have a super quick swatch to share of yet another polish that I've had for the longest time and never used! I remember I bought this at Xtras in Meadowhall which is a huge shopping mall in Sheffield and it was (probably) about £2!

The colour is called Matte Green which confused me slightly as is quite iridescent in the bottle but it dried to a semi-matte almost satin finish which I thought was really nice and a bit different. 

I am wearing two coats of colour with a base coat and no top coat.

For saying this polish has been sat it my drawer for god know how long (it must be over a year) the consistency was perfect! I could have been brand new, I was very impressed :-)

I can't find Matt Green on Xtras.co.uk anymore however, they have loads of great W7 stuff on there so are definitely worth a look!
