The Body Shop - Colour Crush Nail Colour Swatches - Lights

I'm sorry I'm super late today, I confused myself with what day it is!

Today I'm really excited to share some swatches of four of the new Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Colours! My brother bought me seven shades for my birthday :) and I've decided to split them into two posts of light and dark colours.

He bought me two sets of three colours, and another separate shade because it was a bargain, so he tells me!!

The three colours in the set are L-R Mint Cream, Hemp Over Heels, Peach Babe.

All swatches are two coats of colour with top coat.

First up is Mint Cream, and this one exactly what is says! I would day that this polish is more on the blue side than green, as the name would suggest -

Next, Hemp Over Heels. This colour is a grassy green creme and makes me think of nature and the fair trade ethos of The Body Shop -

Third up is Peach Babe. A creamy peach colour, this polish is my favourite of the bunch -

Finally is the separate shade, Rosy Cheeks, a pretty pink creme -

All the polishes have a nice formula, thought not always completely opaque. The finish is high gloss as the website claims, as well as being 100% Vegan :)

The Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Colours are £5.00 each for 6.8ml, available at Thebodyshop.co.uk.

I hope you're all having an amazing week so far!

OPI - Nordic Mini Collection

I love when a brand like OPI brings out these mini sets to compliment their collections.

For Autumn / Winter '14, OPI brought out this beautiful collection inspired by "the great northern lights of Finland, deep blue Fjords of Norway and colourful houses of Copenhagen".

I won't ramble on because I have loads of pics to share!

OPI Nordic Mini Collection from L-R ; My Dogsled is a Hybrid, Do You Have This Colour in Stock Holm?, My Voice is a Little Norse and How Great is Your Dane?.

I have layered My Voice is a Little Norse over every colour, just to see how it goes with each shade from the set :)

Al swatches are two coats of colour with top coat.

First up is My Dogsled is a Hybrid, a sea green creme -

Next is Do You Have This Colour in Stock Holm? A violet creme -

Third is My Voice is a Little Norse, a prismatic silver glitter -

And finally, How Great is Your Dane?

All the polishes in this set are great quality, as usual with OPI.

The Nodic Mini Set is £14.50, however I paid £10.15 which is the current price at Beautybay.com :)

I hope you're all having and awesome weekend!

Avon - Opal Top Coat

I told you I had another one!
This must be the 6th or 7th top coat of this kind that I own. Maybe I'll do a comparison post one day? Let me know!

This top coat is more of a flakie than a glitter, and though I think I prefer glitter I can never resist a flakie! I feel like I haven't used one for so long, so when I saw it was half price in the Avon brochure I thought why not?!

Here I have swatched on coat of Opal Top Coat over two coats of Avon Viva Pink (Viva Pink was LE for Breast Cancer Awareness) -

I love how, because of the iridescence of the flakie particles, this top coat will work over pretty much anything.

As much as I enjoy this over the hot pink, I think I would prefer it over a darker colour such as this CG / Essie combo.

Avon Opal Top Coat is £6 (however I only paid £3!) available from your local Avon rep or at Avonshop.co.uk.

I hope you've all had a great week!

Yves Rocher - Deep Purple

Another Christmas polish! It was my birthday last month and one of the things I love about Yves Rocher is that they always send you awesome free gift offers and seeing as though they sent me an extra special one for my birthday I thought It'd be rude not to get some bits!

Deep Purple is from their Winter 2014 collection which also includes a Gold and a Magenta shimmer.

The swatch is of two coats of Deep Purple with a top coat -

I really like the finish of this polish, between a metallic and a shimmer, and it's perfect for the festive season too.

As always with Yves Rocher, I love the small bottle size but hate the tiny handle! I find it difficult to control but I won't be complaining as these polishes cost a mere £3 at full price (which they rarely are) and I only paid £1.95.

Check out the Yves Rocher Christmas range at Yves-rocher.co.uk.

I hope you're having a wonderful week so far!

Beautybay - It's Snowing on Main Street.

It's official, Christmas is coming! I'm not sure how I feel about it really, it seems to get earlier every year...

Beautybay.com launched their Christmas shop recently and loads of georgeous new sparkly nail polishes along with it. I restrained myself and only purchased one, but I just know I'll be going back for more! Especially when you can get the gift sets of five polishes for only £9.95.

The one I went for is called It's snowing on main Street and is an iridescent glitter top coat. I feel like I can't stop buying these (I have another one coming up this week!) and |I think they're awesome for the holiday period, transforming your nail colour into something sparkly and festive.

I have swatched one coat of It's Snowing on Main Street over two coats of Beautybay Donner Pass -

I really enjoyed using this polish. There was no need for glitter placement as it's so jam packed, one coat is enough to cover the whole nail.

It's snowing on Main Street is £5 available at Beautybay.com.

I hope you're all having an awesome weekend!

Barry M sort of Halloween mani!

Hooray it's Wednesday! What a morning I've had...

Today I have some sort of Halloween nails to share today. I wanted to do a gradient, so I thought why not go a bit Halloween inspired! After applying the gradient, I thought of these WAH nails, so I added the black crackle top coat as well and I'm chuffed with the outcome :)

I started with Barry M #300 Acid Yellow. This is sadly discontinued however there are many colours like it out there. I then added #296 Coral and the Black Magic crackle top coat, both also by Barry M.

Barry M nail paints are £2.99 each and the Crackle top coat is £3.99 and you can check out their full range at Barrym.com.

I hope you're all having an awesome week!
