Illamasqua - Raindrops

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you're all having a great week so far, I am still full of cold :(

Today I have a quick swatch of a cult favourite from Illamasqua, Raindrops. This polish is a sheer blue-ish grey with little iridescent flakies mixed in. I am wearing two coats on the swathes, with Top Coat -

I will definitely wear this with three coats in the future, as it does need layering to achieve full opacity. The flakie element is interesting, as you almost can't see it, however it does give the polish a lovely high gloss finish as they catch the light.

Illamasqua nail polishes are £14.50 each available at Illamasqua.com.

Have a great week!

Red Nose Day Nail Wraps

We're gonna have a bit of fun today at WellNailed. I'm not feeling particularly healthy today, so I wanted to do something easy yet still awesome. And it doesn't really get much more awesome than doing your nails whilst raising money for a great cause at the same time!

Red Nose Day is coming around on Friday 13th of March, and if you're not familiar there's basically a big TV evening with comedians and musicians and all kinds of famous folk who ask us nicely to donate money to help those in need, across the UK and Africa.

You can check out more about the cause HERE.

Every year, it seems like they come up with more and more merchandise to help raise funds and I don't know if it's a mum thing, or if it's just my mum, but she just can't help herself. And this year she bought me some RND nail wraps home and they are just so much fun I wanted to share them :)

Obviously I am crap at applying vinyls, but they are just so cute, and I love the spots on the pinkie so much!

The vinyls are only £2 with at least £1 going to RND. Mine came from a Sainsbury's store, however you can also purchase online at Rednoseday.com.

Thank you for reading today, and I hope you enjoyed the little slice of Sunday fun :)

China Glaze Spring 2015 - Road Trip

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you're all having a great week :)

Today I'm excited to share with you some swatches of the China Glaze Road Trip collection for Spring 2015. I have three of the shades to show, so lets get cracking!

L-R My Way Or The Highway; I Brake For Colour and Trip Of A Lime Time

All swatches are two coats of colour with a top coat.

First up is My Way Or The Highway. This one is your standard turquoise creme -

Next is I Brake For Colour, a coral-y red creme -

And finally, Trip Of A Lime Time. This creme is the actual colour of tennis balls -

I'm really happy with my choices, and the formula on all three is lovely. No the colours are nothing new, but they are great examples of your top quality standard creme polishes.

China Glaze nail polishes are £6.95 each and I purchased mine from Beautybay.com.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Models Own Colour Chrome swatches!

A little while ago, Models Own had a 50% off everything offer and you all know i treated myself to a couple of new polishes :)

The sale included the brand new Colour Chrome collection, so I had a look and I picked out three shades, but I can tell you now that I'll be going back for more of these beauties!

When applied on their own, the polishes dry to a satin type finish, which is actually beautiful. I've included swatches with and without a top coat to show the difference, however I much prefer the finish without.

The colours I purchased are (L-R) Cerise, Olive and Blue.

All swatches show to coats of colour. First without a top coat and then with.

First up is Cerise, a hot hot pink!

Without top coat -

With top coat -

Next is Olive, a golden olive green -

Without TC -

With TC -

And finally, Blue. A bright turquoise -

Without TC -

With TC (yes I did catch my index finger in between taking these!) -

Overall, I am really impressed by this collection. I think the formula's are great, all fully opaque in two coats and an amazing metallic finish. I do feel like using a top coat almost highlights the brush stroke marks, that you are bound to get with a metallic polish. I will definitely be wearing these without TC!

Models Own Colour Chrome collection polishes are £4.99 each, and I purchased mine at Modelsownit.com.

Have a great week everyone!

Chanel Spring 2015 - Collection Reverie Parisienne

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you've all had a great week :)

Today I finally have swatches of the Chanel Spring colours for you. If you missed it, I have the official Collection Reverie Parisienne Press Release HERE.

The collection consists of three colours, Tenderly, Desirio and Paradisio.

All swatches are two coats of color with a top coat.

First up is #641, Tenderly -

I think this one is my favourite of the three. A dusky rose / purple shade, this would would make a great transitional shade between the seasons.

Next is #643, Desirio -

Desirio is an hot fuchsia pink, a welcome pop of colour to bring us out of the cold winter months :)

And finally #645, Paradisio -

A soft pearly green, Paradisio is a the fresh boost we all need at Spring time :)

No the colours are nothing new, but they do have that amazing Chanel formula that we all know and love. Especially the cremes, I do feel that Paradisio could have done with a third coat.

All polishes are £18 each and purchased mine from Debenhams.com.

I hope you all have the best weekend, and I'll see you again on Sunday :)

Paul & Joe - Saffron Yellow and Koala Bear

So this week, I have been working pretty much every hour I've been awake. It's not been awesome, but it's all done now :) I'm a day late with the blog, but it's no big deal. I'd rather be late and put something good up, than rush something terrible just to stick to schedule!

On to the post......!

A little while ago, Beautybay.com had buy one get one half price on Paul and Joe and of course I couldn't help myself! The colours I bought are Saffron Yellow and Koala Bear, both released as part of the Summer 2014 collection.

First is #11 Saffron Yellow. A vibrant Sunflower yellow, this swatch is three coats with top coat -

And #13 Koala Bear, which is creamy grey / blue. Also three coats with top coat -

I do prefer Koala Bear. The formula is nicer and I do think the colour is beautiful! And great for this period between Winter and Spring! The Yellow has a much streakier formula. You can still see gaps even after the third coat :( But still a lovely colour.

These polishes also have that fabulous fragrance that all Paul & Joe colours have. Like a citrus / floral combo. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm going to contact P&J and try find out, as I'm intrigued as to what the ingredient is!

Paul & Joe nail polishes are £12 each, and I bought mine from Beautybay.com.

I hope you're all having a great weekend so far!
