Neon leaves(?)

Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a bit of neon nail art to share. I just picked out these colours because I knew I wanted to use them, but I wasn't sure how. I decided on this sort of leaf design.

Personally, I think that my index finger came out best and if I was to try it again, I would try and re-create that look on all the nails :-)

I used Illamasqua Rare (which you can't get any more, sorry! But any neon yellow will work) and Models Own Toxic Apple. The black is the Barry M Nail Art Pen. Obvs.

I hope you enjoy the look!

See you Friday :-)

Candy Leopard

Ever had a flash of inspiration and you get so excited and think you're awesome, only to realise that you've seen your design somewhere before and inadvertently copied someone's idea?

I did that today!

I fancied a bit of leopard print and I wanted to make it a bit summery so I thought I'd base it around my current favourite pink Chanel May. To complete the look I used Barry M White and Beauty UK Jade and used the Barry M black nail art pen for the details.

And they look just like the Avon Cheetah Pink Nail Strips!

Sorry Avon!

I hope you're all having a great start to the week :-)

Avon striping tape gradient!

Again with the super creative name..!

Before we begin, I apologise for the state of my ring finger nail. We had a very traumatic break up and I don't want to talk about it :-(

Today's mani is a gradient with a little added striping tape detail, using all Avon polishes.

I used Lemon Sugar (yellow) Habanero It Girl (orange) and Jalapeno Fashion Show (green).

To start, I painted three coats of the yellow as my base and then waited for it to become touch dry. I also used my Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Spray to speed things up a bit, but don't use too much or your tape won't stick!

Next I added the striping tape in the diagonal lines and sponged the gradient on top.

Finally, I removed the tape and sealed everything in with my SV top coat.

I hope you enjoy these nails. I had fun creating them!

Check out the Avon nail colours HERE.

See you Friday :-)

Color Club - Glossy Seal

Is it Friday already?! Hooray!

Today, I have an awesome polish to share with you that I received in my July GlossyBox this week.

This months box has an American theme and showcases 5 great products from America based brands. The Color Club polish was actually  created especially for GlossyBox! But don't fear, you can still order your July box at Glossybox.co.uk.

I am wearing two coats of Glossy Seal with a base and top coat -

The polish is darker and more teal than the last picture, the one of the bottle is the closest I could get! I hate photography sometimes!

You can check out the Color Club range at Shopcolorclub.com

Have a wonderful weekend!

Illamsqua gradient with tribal!

If you didn't guess, today post is a gradient mani using Illamasqua polishes with some tribal added!

I love tribal nail art and I think there are so many possibilities.

For the gradient I used Load (cream) and Nomad (jade green) both by Illamasqua, and for the nail art, I used the Barry M nail art pen.

I started off with three coats of Load and then I sponged the gradient using Nomad. Then I just topped it off using the nail art pen to draw the design, and added a top coat.

I think my pen skills are improving slowly!

Illamasqua nail polishes are £14.50 each available at Illamasqua.com, and the Nail Art Pen is £4.99 from Barrym.com.

Butter London - Dosh

Good Monday everyone!

I hope you've all had a great weekend, and aren't too sad that it's Monday once again!

Today, I have a swatch of another polish from Butter London. I think I've done them all now, but who knows, random polishes turn up all the time :-)

The polish I'm sharing today is called Dosh and is: "A molten metallic apple-green nail lacquer shot through with gold"

I'm wearing two coats of colour with a base and a top coat -

This isn't my favourite if I'm totally honest. I think it's just not flattering on my skin tone.

The formula is still lovely, as they all are, and the finish is really pretty.

Butter London nail lacquers are £12 each available at Butterlondon.co.uk

Stargazer - Bonus Part 4!

When Wimbledon was on, Stargazer ran a competition on twitter to win their Strawberry scented nail polish remover and I won!!

I was so buzzing, I never win! So here it is -

It smells so good! Don't smell it before you use it, because it smells just like normal nail polish remover and we all know that that just burns! However, once used, your nail actually smells like Strawberry jam. So sweet and yummy, it was all I could to not stick my finger in my mouth :-)

And it works awesome too, which is always a plus!

Check out Nail Polish remover at Stargazer-products.com, there are 6 different scents and they're only £2 for 120ml. And if you buy remover as often as I do, that is like music to the ears!

You can follow Stargazer on twitter - @stargazerbeauty
And me too, if you wanna - @WellNailed

Have an awesome weekend!

Beautybay striping tape mani!

Hi team! I hope you're all having an awesome week, mine is pretty average currently! I've already decided that I'm having a Chinese takeaway on Friday to cheer myself up :-)

Today I have a little bit of striping tape nail art to share, using all Beautybay nail polishes.

The colours I've used are, Bourbon Street (yellow), Las Vegas Boulevard (pink) and Donner Pass (green).

I started with two coats of the yellow and sprayed it with my Rapid Dry Spray.
Next I added striping tape in the 'V' shape.
I then painted two coats of the green and pink colours on top, adding another spray of the Rapid Dry.
Finally, peel off the tape and add a top coat.

My triangles came out slightly wobbly, but I think that's because I tried to remove the tape before the polish was dry enough. But I thin k they cam out ok :-)

Beautybay nail polishes are £5 each available at Beautybay.com (obvs)

Collection Work The Colour - Fairy Dust

Hello, happy(?) Monday everyone!

I went to Boots last week and did really well. I only bought one thing I didn't actually go for, and naturally it was a nail polish :-)

Collection (formerly Collection 2000) have recently launched a new range of nail polishes and I was so proud of myself when I resisted and only picked up one as the colours looked so great!

The colour I picked is called Fairy Dust and is an awesome flakie top coat. I am wearing one coat over e.l.f Skinny Jeans -

I do love a flakie!!

Collection Work The Colour nail polishes are £1.99 each and I bought mine from Boots.

I can't wait to try more of the range :-)

Butter London - Wallis

Happy weekend everyone!

I hope you're all having an awesome time, I'm looking forward to catching up with old friends tonight :-)

Today, I have another Butter London swatch to share, this one is of Wallis.

"A tarnished, metallic olive gold nail lacquer"

I haven't seen many like this and I absolutely love it! It feels very luxurious to wear. I have on tow coats with a top and base coat.

The only problem I found with this polish is that it left glitter particles all over my hands when I removed it. Not that it's a big deal, I can just wash my hands, but it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine!

Butter London nail lacquers are £12 each available at Butterlondon.co.uk.

Stargazer - Part 3

Today, I have another lovely polish by Stargazer to share with you all. This one is number 150 and a gorgeous iridescent hot pink shade and my favourite of the three colours :-)

Two coats.

I then thought that this colour would make an awesome base for a bright galaxy mani, so that's what I did!

I also used Mavala Mexico (purple), OCC Chlorophyll (green) and Chanel Attraction (metallic white).

The extras are Black Nail Decor (the hex shapes) and Black Spheres.

Check out Stargazer-products.com for the full range of products!
