Seche - Hypnotic

You've all probably heard of/ used a Seche Vite top coat, so when I opened December's Glossybox and saw that I had one of Seche's new Nail Lacquers I was super intrigued and excited to try it!

The colour I received is called Hypnotic -

Hypnotic is a fabulous 'Dark Royal Blue' according to Seche.com, and I'm going to agree with that! The depth of colour is so amazing and intensified by that gorgeous subtle shimmer.

Seche Nail Lacquer is designed to apply in one coat, and it completely does! Well Hypnotic did anyway. It's the only lacquer I own so I can't really comment on the whole range, obviously.

As you only need one coat of colour, it dries super fast as well, so mani time is cut considerably, which is always a plus!

Seche nail lacquers cost £9.95, and as I said earlier, I received mine in my December Glossybox.

As I was taking pictures, I decided that it was time to break out the OPI The Man With The Golden Gun Gold leaf top coat again!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, and I'll see you Monday!

Illamasqua - Hemlock

Due to lack of Christmas posts and festive looks in general, I thought today's swatch should at least try to be almost a holiday colour!

Today, I have a swatch of Hemlock by Illamasqua. 'A pale opal green iridescent' according to the Illamasqua website.

In the pictures I have one coat of Hemlock over Essie Stylenomics.

I love the effect of this polish. What I really like about these kind of iridescent top coats is the difference you get from bottle to nail.
Gets me every time!

Hemlock costs £13.50 and I purchased mine from Illamasqua.com.

I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas, and Santa brings you everything you ever wanted :-)

See you next time,

China Glaze - It's A Trap-Eze!

Today I have a swatch for you which I super excited about!

This polish is named It's A Trap-Eze! and is from the China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil Worlds Away collection.

I've been coveting It's A Trap-Eze! ever since I saw the first ever swatches pop up on blogs. I'm a sucker for a glitter and this is just jam-packed with all sizes of multi-coloured glitters in a creamy off white base.

Yum.

Two coats of It's A Trap-Eze!

Polish cost £6.95 from Beautybay.com

I don't really know what to say!

Wonderful formula as always from China Glaze. I love how you can still see the colours of the glitters even through the coloured base. Pretty.

The Cirque Du Soleil Worlds Away collection consists of 12 polishes which you can check out at Chinaglaze.com.

See you next time,

Essie - Lapis Of Luxury

Well hello!
I know it's been ages and I am sorry!!
But thanks you all for being patient with me :-)
I really appreciate all your ongoing support.

Back to business!

Today I have a polish from Essie to show you named Lapis of Luxury.

And it looks a little bit like this -

I don't know about you, but I have real trouble photographing blues/purples and having them look true to colour!

Lapis of Luxury is a pale periwinkle blue, my absolute new favourite colour.

I love a bit of Essie, but I've got to say that the formula of this polish was just....bad.

Three coats and its still not fully opaque. I could live with it, but I'm just so used to amazing quality polishes from Essie that I felt a tad let down by this one.

That being said, the colour really is beautiful.

I've never really been a believer in following the trends, so yes, I will be wearing this colour through the holidays!

Hope you like, have a fabulous weekend and I'll see you next time.

Press Release - China Glaze Tranzitions

COLOR + TOP COAT = ENDLESS CREATIVITY

China Glaze® Introduces Tranzitions Color Changing Collection

Los Angeles, CA – (November 2012): There’s nail art and then there’s China Glaze® nail couture.  Reverse French manicure, half moons, ombre, basket weave, dots or racing stripes: nail designs are intricate and multi-colored. China Glaze® introduces a new way to get multi-color, unique nail art with fewer bottles of polish with the new color-changing Tranzitions collection!

China Glaze® Tranzitions’ revolutionary new nail lacquer reacts when a clear top coat is applied, changing the color from one shade to another for a stunning effect.  Wear any of the six beautiful, color-shifting shades alone, or allow your creativity to run wild and create intricate nail designs by applying a top coat all over or strategically.  Try different looks using nail art brushes, free-hand designs or nail guides.  Because each shade changes color, you get two lacquers in one, creating an entirely new look with just one swipe.

The China Glaze® Tranzitions collection features six shades, though with the color transition, you get 12 unique shades including:

·         Split Perso-NAIL-ity – Dusty pink shifts to fuchsia

·         Duplicityy – Mint green shifts to vibrant teal

·         Modify Me – Periwinkle blue shifts to indigo blue

·         Altered Reality – Teal blue shifts to turquoise

·         Metallic Metamorphosis – Silvery grey shifts to bluish-charcoal grey

·         Shape Shifter – Smokey violet shifts to dark purple

How It Works:
Step 1: Apply a base coat.
Step 2: Apply two coats of China Glaze® Tranzitions shade of choice.  Allow to completely dry.
Step 3: Lastly, apply one coat of clear top coat such as China Glaze® Fast Forward and watch the color change right before your eyes.

For more nail design ideas, click here to view the China Glaze® Tranzitionsvideo.

The China Glaze® Tranzitions collection will be available in January 2013 at fine salons and beauty supply stores.

China Glaze is free of DBP, toluene, and added formaldehyde, and is never tested on animals.

China Glaze nail lacquers are available through salons and professional beauty supply stores nationwide. For more information, please visitwww.chinaglaze.com or follow China Glaze on Facebook (@ChinaGlaze), Twitter (@ChinaGlazeOfficial) and Pinterest (pinterest.com/chinaglaze).
