A happy coincidence or a sign of destiny? Overflowing imaginations instinctively choose the latter.

Gabrielle Chanel believed in luck. Her private world was filled with talismans, which served both as good-luck charms and sources of inspiration. Her apartment on the rue Cambon in Paris was decorated with bronze and alabaster lions, bundles of ears of wheat and the number 5 hidden in a crystal chandelier. With a hint of mischievousness, they slip into the collections, on jewellery pieces, embroidery or buttons.

The Autumn 2013 Collection reinterprets superstition with a playful and surrealist spirit, mixing sumptuous tones of bronze, taupe and khaki with the magic of a golden beige, intense pink or burgundy palette, like a joyful prediction of beauty.

Three nail colours to dress up nails in perfect harmony with the Collection.

LE VERNIS ÉLIXIR, a pink that takes on a milky, slightly grey tone, as unfathomable and gentle as innocent seduction.

Magnetic and stirring, ALCHIMIE enhances the alliance of khaki and gold in a metallic effect.

MYSTERIOUS demonstrates the impenetrable attraction of a khaki with hints of charcoal grey.

Avon - Habanero + Jalapeno

Every time I get the Avon brochure through my door I tell myself that I won't buy anything this time.....but I always do! Well they will bring out new nail colours!

I bought two shades as they were half price at £3 each. That's something else I can't resist too, they always have bargains! The colours I bought are called Habanero It Girl and Jalapeno Fashion Show. I also bought the Nail Art Tool because that was half price too at £1.50, which I used to do all the designs -

Polishes are usually £6 each and are available at Avonshop.co.uk

*Just to let you all know I'm going on holiday today (YAY!) so I won't be posting next week. But don't worry I'll be back Bank Holiday Monday :-) Have a wonderful week, I will!*

e.l.f - Sea Escape + Galaxy mani!

Today, I have another of my recent e.l.f purchases to share with you, which I then turned into my first ever galaxy mani! I think it turned out ok, but you can be the judge of that! The e.l.f colour I have to show you, which then became the base colour for the galaxy is called Sea Escape -

e.l.f polishes are £2.50 from eyeslipsface.co.uk.

For the galaxy nails, I added Provocation and Attraction by Chanel, Farit Dust by e.l.f, Old Park Lane by Nails Inc and Lilac Foil by Barry M. I used a make up sponge to add the colours, and a dotting tool to add the 'stars' -

For saying that this is my first ever galaxy mani, I think I did ok. What do you think?

e.l.f - Green Machine + Fairy Dust

Those of you who follow me on Twitter will know that I went a little bit mad in the e.l.f 60% off everything event last week! But come on, 60% off?? I had to :)

I bought five nail polishes during my little spree and today I have two of them to share with you.
First up is Green Machine over which I layered Fairy Dust -

Green Machine (left) and Fairy Dust (right)

I'm wearing two coats of Green Machine and then one coat of Fairy Dust over the top.

I like the formula of Green Machine, nice and smooth and opaque in two coats. Fairy Dust is a funny one. It looks like it should be a bit cloudy when layered over another polish, however it is completely clear.

It looks like glitter, but is more of a flakie and the colour shifts beautifully between blue, gold green and bronze shimmer.

Polishes are £2.50 each and are available at Eyeslipsface.co.uk

Blue gradient with Spikes!

A few days ago I got an email from Sparkly-nails.co.uk, to tell me about their sale. Well, £11 later and I got all kind of goodies! I bought THESE gold spikes, amongst a lot of other bits and decided to use them in a mani for today.

I love the combination of blue and gold, so i went for a gradient. I think it turned out ok for saying it's about the third one I've ever done! -

I used Barry M 47 Black, Barry M 291 Cobalt Blue and Models Own Balearic Cool for the gradient using the sponging method.

Hope you like and check out Sparkly-nails.co.uk for all kind of nail art goodness :-)
