Today, I am very excited to be able to share with you, swatches of the newest nail colours from Chanel for their Spring 2014 beauty collection - Collection Notes de Printmeps.
There are three colours in the collection. Ballerina, which is an existing colour, has been added to the two new shades Charivari and Tapage to complete the look of spring.
You can check out the official Press Release HERE.
All swatches are two coats of colour with base and top coat -
167 Ballerina - A sheer polish, Ballerina is perfect for a manicure in a hurry. A pink toned nude, this colour is a classic and has become my new favourite sheer shade.
603 Charivari - Described by Chanel as 'A dark mauve', this colour is pretty much exactly that! After one coat this colour looks horribly streaky, however after the second coat everything just smooths out to create the perfect creme finish.
605 Tapage - My favourite of the three, Tapage is a 'Soft Vibrant red'. When I first read that description by Chanel, I thought that such a thing couldn't exist! But I think they've nailed it with this beautifully opaque creme.
The inspiration for the colours from this collection, is the first rays of sunlight of Spring as they hit the landscape. I think that this is quite a romanticised image of Spring (especially from a Northern English point of view!), however I can appreciate where the ideas have come from.
The winner for me here is Tapage, however all three are beautiful and wearable for anyone.
Chanel Nail Colours are £18 each, and the collection is available now.
