The black is Barry M 47 Black and the gold studs I got off ebay for about £1.50.

I hope you've enjoyed this little saunter through The WAH Nails book as much as I have :-)

I'm going to go and give myself a pat on the back for completing the first challenge type thingy I've ever set myself!

See you next time,

Swatch: Chanel Beige

Today I have a swatch for you of the latest Chanel nail colour, Beige.

I must admit, when I first heard Chanel were bringing out a colour named Beige, I thought 'great, they've lost it.'

But they haven't!

Here come the pictures -

The colour is beautifully warm and neutral. And as you can see from the extreme (!) closeups (with flash) the subtle pink shimmer is one of those added details that always make Chanel polishes so special.

In the picture I have on three coats.

Once again, I am not disappointed!

Beige cost me £18 from Debenhams.

WAH Look #24 - Rhinestone Rain

First off, I'd just like to raise the terribly important point that today is.....
....MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Hurrah. Now, to business!

It's the penultimate mani from the WAH Nails book! How exciting!

Today's nails are called Rhinestone Rain -

I used Chanel May as my base colour. Then I added Barry M Silver glitter over the top. Bad news, the glitter was actually a limited edition but I am positive that other silver glitter polishes exist out there!

The look calls for three sizes of rhinestone, but since I actually only own two sizes, that's what I used...
I really liked these nails. Lots of fun, and I am a fan of texture, although, not fun to wash your hair with!!!!

Hope you like these, have a fabulous weekend, and I'll see you next week,

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

As I hope you're all aware, October is the official Breast Cancer Awareness month!!

So, boys and girls, it's time to check ya boobs. And if you don't fancy it, get your fella to check 'em for you   ;-) Go to Breastcancercare.org.uk for more information.

Here are some pretty pink nails -

I added Chanel Suspicious to the tips and to paint the ribbons, and then I used Barry M 273 Raspberry to create the shadows.

The base is Models own Northern Lights over Paul & Joe 026.
I swatched the Models Own Wonderland collection yesterday - HERE

On a serious note, please will you all go and check your breasts!!
If you're worried, or unsure go to your GP straight away. And if you feel too embarrassed always remember, THEY'VE SEEN A WHOLE LOT WORSE THAN YOUR BOOBS!

I hope you like these nails, and I hope you all go for a good feel,

Swatches - Models Own Wonderland

I couldn't wait to post these! Today I have yet another beautiful collection from Models Own called Wonderland -

Polishes from L-R Northern Lights; Blizzard; Snowflakes; Jack Frost and Southern Lights

One coat of Northern Lights over Paul & Joe 026

Close up of Northern Lights

Blizzard over Barry M 292 Navy

One coat of Snowflake over Barry M 115 Red Black

One coat of Jack Frost over No7 Totally Teal

One coat of Southern Lights over MUA Frozen Yoghurt

Close up of Southern Lights

Wonderland, from the Models Own website.

"Five magical polishes ranging in gradients of subtle to dense glitter for a sophisticated grown-up glimmer. For a manicured finish use the iridescent shades to give an accent of glitter, or be brave and layer up the polish until it's opaque! Each polish gives a different nail finish from frosty to full on snowstorm!"

So what do we all think of Wonderland? I can't decide on a favourite!

Hope you enjoy, and I'll see ya next time.

Essie - Stylenomics

Today I have a polish for you from the Essie Fall 2012 collection called Stylenomics.

I pretty much love Essie, so far, as a brand! I don't own many of their polishes but the ones I do have are among some of my favourite polishes I own.

I never really feel the need to buy seasonal collections, not just from Essie, but from most brands, as a lot of the colours are quite generic or I already own something exactly the same, but Stylenomics really caught my eye.

So here it is -

According to the Essie Website, Stylenomics is 'A wealthy, rich, opulent dark green'.

I've gotta be honest, I don't see it! Once the polish is on the nail, I would say it leans towards blue. It can look green in the bottle, depending on light.

A very interesting polish and I absolutely love it! Stylenomics is opaque in two coats.

Polish cost me £8.50 from Beautybay.com.

Have a fabulous weekend,

I'm loving this effect, yet another that I haven't tried before!
Looking forward to trying out some other colour combinations too.
Simple yet effective....just like me :-)

The black and white are Barry M's and the base is e.l.f Desert Haze.

Hope you enjoy, and I'll see ya Wednesday!

Review - Nails Inc (Colour Collection bargain!)

Remember the W7 Metallic Planets bargain collection from TkMaxx?
I found another :-)

This set of four Nails Inc has a retail price of £44, and only cost me £12.99!
Bearing in mind Nails Inc polishes are £11 each rrp, I was never gonna not buy this set!

Colours from L-R are - Westminster, Hampstead Gardens, Old Park Lane and New King's Road

Westminster

Westminster is just a really ace bright purple creme. Not unique, but still beautiful. Two coats.

I also feel I should apologise for the colour of my fingers in these piccies, but to get the purple to photograph true to colour, I had to play with my camera settings and now it looks like I have jaundice.

Hampstead Gardens

Hampstead Gardens is a mustard yellow creme. I actually love this colour! It's one of those 'pretty ugly' colours which I don't know about you, but I really like them! Two coats.

Old Park Lane

Old Park Lane is, well I don't really know. It's kinda metallic bronze but has this super pretty pink undertone. More original than the others, and only one coat!

New King's Road

New King's Road is a navy creme with gold glitter particles in. There are also flashes of green, pink and blue in the glitter which make the polish really dimensional which is awesome. Two coats.

Me like this set, and I can't decide on a favourite! Which one do you like most?

As for Nails Inc as a brand, I think they are worth the £11 price tag. Sometimes you find a brand where the price is so ridiculous and you think, I could get these colours for £3, or the formula is awful, but for Nails Inc, I think they've got the right mix of quality and originality.

They are expensive, but go on.....treat yourself!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone :-)

MUA Nail Constellations in Scorpio

Everybody loves a good caviar mani, right!
Want the Ciate effect for a fraction of the price? Of course you do!
Well MUA have recently brought out their Nail Constellations for only £3, and here is Scorpio -

Pretty.

This kind of mani is definitely for a one off night out or special occasion! The beads start to come off and dull in colour after a day or so, and they're a bit of a pain in the arse to get back in the bottle, but for 3 quid you're not getting any complaints from me!

There are currently five in the collection - Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Pisces and Gemini. And I got Scorpio 'cos, well, I am one :-)

I bought mine online at Muastore.co.uk/

Hope you enjoy and I'll see ya next time,

WAH Look #21 - Lips

Consider this mani a kiss from me to you ;-)

Look number 21 from The WAH Nails book is Lips -

*Photo taken from The WAH Nails Book of Nail Art by Sharmadean Reid*

*Photo taken from The WAH Nails Book of Nail Art by Sharmadean Reid*

I used Paul & Joe #026 for the pink base and one of my cheapy nail art pens for the lips. Simples!
Now, I don;t like to make excuses for my shoddy workmanship on this mani, but I do have this going on at the moment so please forgive me!....

Hopefully you lot wont be too harsh on me :-)

Hope you like this look and have a fabulous weekend everyone!
