China Glaze - Luxe And lush

I do love a good flakie! Something else wonderful I've discovered through the fantastical world of nail blogging :)

Today's swatch is of the lovely Luxe and Lush by China Glaze, which is from their Hunger Games collection (not that that means anything to me, I just love this polish!)

I swatched Luxe and Lush over Essie Bobbing for Baubles

I love the depth of colour in the flakes. From blue to pink to green to gold and more! I love it so much.

Polish is £6.95 and obviously I got mine from Beautybay.com

Chanel Summer 2013 - L’ĒTĒ PAPILLON DE CHANEL

This post is coming a little later than anticipated, but I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time to make sure my swatches could be the best I could make them. I desperately wanted to do these polishes justice!

Today I have the latest collection from Chanel for Summer 2013 to share - L'Ete Papillon De Chanel.

There are three Nail Colours included in this collection, so lets get started -

Le Vernis 647 Lilis -

Lilis is a bright coral creme, which dries slightly darker than it looks in the bottle. Nothing too out the ordinary, but still gorgeous and the formula is fantastic. Two coats.

Le Vernis 657 Azure -

Azure is a light aqua blue with a darker blue duo-chrome shift. Now, I am a freak for blue, so even if I wasn't an avid Chanel hoarder I'd probably have bought this anyway! So pretty and stunning in the summer sun. Two coats.

Le Vernis 667 Bel-Argus -

Bel-Argus is an electric blue duo-chrome with a purple shift, and is my favourite of the collection. This colour just makes me so happy! I love finding shades that make me feel that way :) Two coats here too.

This may be the first Chanel collection, since I've been blogging anyway, that really made me feel so happy when I swatched it! I mean, I usually love the collections, don't get me wring, but this is just on another level for me!!

The colours are so lovely for summer, the mixture of metallic duo-chromes and bright creme shades is great and they really fit in beautifully with the theme of the collection. (See the press HERE)

I hope you enjoy these pics, and I'll see you next time.

Paul & Joe Summer '13 - Beach Baby

Today, I am very excited to show you come swatches from the Paul & Joe collection 'Beach Baby' for Summer '13. There are 5 polishes in total, and I have three to show you today :)

I'm going to start at the end and work backwards, so I can save my favourite for last!

The packaging is one of the reasons I'm always drawn to Paul & Joe. Always so pretty :)

034 - Mauritius

034 - Mauritius

Polish number 034 'Mauritius' is described as baby pink with a subtle shimmer. I really liked this colour, which surprised me because I wouldn't normally, but I think the warmth of the pink undertones helped. Three coats.

033 - Bermuda

033 - Bermuda

Polish number 033 'Bermuda' is described as a refreshing rose pink. I've got to say, this polish is very nearly neon! I love this for summer, and would look fabulous on any skin tone. Two coats.

032 - Caribbean

032 - Caribbean

Polish number 032 'Caribbean' is a cool aquamarine, and I thinks it's so beautiful. There's a lot of variations of this colour around for summer, which I am very happy about :) This may be my holiday shade, as I think it will look brill with a tan! Two coats.

Another reason why I love P&J so much is because their polishes have the most beautiful scent. Floral and sweet, which makes a nice change to the usual polish stink!

I also enjoy that they have altered the packaging to include orange lids to keep in theme with the Summer vibe. It's little touches like that which can persuade me to spend a few more pennies. I'm such a sucker for packaging.

Paul & Joe nail polishes are £12.00 each and are available at Beautybay.com, and they're Limited Edition, so get them while you can!!

Maybelline Color Show, Polka Dots - Shooting Stars

Ever see a nail polish and think you may cry if you don't own it?!
Bit dramatic?!

During one of my recent visits to my mecca, or Boots as it's more formally known, I spotted the Color Show range by Maybelline. Initially I picked up this Polka Dots effect polish named Shooting Stars -

Shooting Stars is a blue gel based polish packed with black and white matte hexagonal glitter.

I am wearing two coats in the pictures.

I'm a big fan of this polish! Not the easiest to work with I must admit, but worth it in the end I feel. They're also cheap enough that I'm not going to complain about having to work a little harder :)

Color Show polishes are £2.99 and are available in Boots stores.

OPI - Euro Centrale Mini Collection

Hello there polish peeps :)

Today, I have a bit of OPI to share. The Euro Centale collection is OPI's Spring 2013 offering, and I have the mini's set to show today, which includes four of the 12 polishes.

Can't Find My Czechbook

Suzi's Hungry AGAIN!

You're Such A BudaPest

OY-Another Polish Joke!

I really like the choice of colours for this set and I think they compliment each other really nicely, which is mainly why I wanted to use them all in one look as opposed to swatching them all separately.

I think 'Suzi's Hungry AGAIN!' is my favourite :)

The mini set contains 4 x 3.75ml polishes compared to the 15ml of a full size bottle.

Set costs £12.95 and is available at Beautybay.com, you can also check out the rest of the collection there.

Essie - Bobbing for Baubles

Today I have a lovely dark and moody Essie shade to share with you. The polish is called 'Bobbing for Baubles' and is from their Winter 2011 collection.

I am aware this is a two year old winter colour, but I don't even care :) I think it's so beautiful, described as a 'deep sapphire blue' which has a lovely smooth creme finish.

I'm wearing two coats here, although I reckon one decent cat would've done the job here, topped off with my new baby, Seche Vite!

A colour like this is a staple in any collection, and it'll go with everything.

Essie polishes cost £8.50 each and I purchased mine from, you guessed it, Bautybay.com!

China Glaze - Strawberry Fields

Today I have a swatch of 'Strawberry Fields' by China Glaze to share with you. This polish is from the Summer Days collection of Summer '09. Yes that's 2009. However, colours like this will never go out of date :) I always tend to go for colours that I like, not the most recent, or the cheapest, or the most luxurious. If I like it, I will buy you! Anyway, on to the swatching....

Hi pretty! Beautiful hot pink creme with gold shimmer, opaque in two coats. Lovely formula from CG as always.

Polish cost £6.95, and I got mine from my favourite ever... Beautybay.com ;)
