WAH Look #13 - Navajo

We're more than half way there :-)

I'm excited to share with you today, look number 13 from the second WAH Nails book. The look is called 'Navajo' and it's kinda obvs why! If you Google 'Navajo pattern' you'll see some beautiful things and it's so easy to see why the WAH team were inspired by this.

This book just doesn't quit! Design after design, they blow me away.

For today's mani I used Dior Safari Beige for the nude base, then Barry M Yellow, 17 Knockout Red, Nails Inc. Westminster and Illamasqua Muse along with a black nail art pen.

I love the colour combination of this one, I think they all gel so well and then the pattern on top just tops it off perfectly (and kind of disguises my dodgy stripe work!)

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend,

WN x

WAH Look #12 - Mexican Skulls

The mexican skull is something that I've become familiar with through tattoo's! It's a super popular design, and really eye catching. I'm not a fan of how my nails came out for this look though, all I can see is bears! I really need to get some practice in with my nail art pens too, as this look showcases how terrible I am with them -

I used Barry M Matt White for the base, then a black and a green nail art pen. I also used some flower fimo cane slices and some teeny gold bullion (which I'm really loving by the way!)

I also think my nails are way too short for this mani! But hey, if you don't try you never know!

WAH Look #11 - Manga Eyes

Apologies for the lack of blogging recently. My internet's been playing silly beggars!

Anyway I'm back now with number 11 from the WAH Nails Book of Downtown Girls which is called Manga Eyes -

This one is so cute! I honestly didn't think I'd like it, but once I put it on my nails, I actually really like it :-) and I think the lashes just make it!

I used Barry M Matt White, Yellow, Fushia, Blueberry Ice Cream and Berry Ice Cream as the purple base. I wanted to use a metallic shade like in the book, or a shimmer but I don't have one :-( *added to wish list* I also used Illamasqua Smash and a black and a white nail art pen.

I hope you all enjoy and I'll see yo next time,

WAH Look #10 - Leopard

Leopard is one of my favourite designs. I think it's so simple yet chic and unlimited possibilities. One of my favourite ever looks I've done is the leopard look from the first WAH Nails book so I was excited when I came across this mani in book 2.

Look #10 is Leopard -

For this mani, i used Barry M Yellow and Block Orange, Chanel Suspicious and Nails Inc. Westminster. i also used a black nail art pen.

Loving this one :-)

I think the colour combinations, the gradients, and the print just all fir together so well.
Hope you all enjoy!

See you Friday,

WAH Look #9 - Lacy Hearts

So here we are at look number nine from WAH Book 2 and I can't believe how fast this is going!

I think it's because I'm having so much fun :)

WAH Look number nine is called Lacy Hearts -

I found this one a little difficult to start with because of the shape of my nails. Obviously in the book, this look was designed for pointed nails to go with the pointed edge of the heart design.

I couldn't decide how to work this around my nails, but I think I made the right call in the end!
I used one coat of MeMeMe Innocent, just to blank out the colour of my skin and to create a canvas for the nail art.

The pink is my favourite pink ever, Chanel May and the red is 17 Knockout Red. I also used a white nail art pen.

I really liked this one, until I added the white! I think I just need to practice with nail art pens..... but I don't have the patients!!

This mani was fun to create though, and it's such a sweet look. And like the book says, you could try a contrasting background which I think would make it more fun and daring.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend,
WN x

WAH Look #8 - Japanese Bling

Everyone loves a bit of nail fun, and this look is all about that!
Japanese Bling showcases the fun and quirky side of nail art.
With rhinestones and bows, glitter and flowers, you can pretty much add what you want as long as it sparkles!

For these nails I used three Barry M glitters - Pink Silver, Pink Iridescent and Silver Multi-glitter.

I also used my white nail art pen and all the accessories are from ebay. As it says in the book, they're hard to find but quite in-expensive and fun :)

To be honest, I couldn't deal with this on my nails for even a day! I love adding rhinestones and studs to my mani, but this lot is a bit much for me. I did have a lot of fun doing them though, and I think they look great even if they'd do my head in!
